Protex protective gown has been sold to Estonian ambulance, hospitals, dental offices and elderly homes. Protex has also sold similar products to Finnish and Norwegian market.

The gown protects the wearer from the spread of infection or illness if the wearer comes in contacts with potentially infectious liquid and solid material. They may also be used to help prevent the gown wearer from transferring microorganisms that could harm vulnerable patients, such as those with weakened immune systems.

The protective gown has been constructed in such a way that it covers all body except head, neck, hands, lower legs and feet. To protect those non-protected areas, Protex has developed other items that should be used together with the protective gown.

The gown does not have any seams and/ or openings in the front of the gown. The material is non-woven to avoid, transferring microorganisms that could harm vulnerable individuals. As the protective gown come into different sizes, the user could also wear it on top of outerwear, without breaking the fabric, for example, ambulance staff.

The back opening is constructed in such a way that the user can rip it off without contaminating hands and/ or other body parts. Because the protective gown is a one-time use, then the user is only using it one time, and that should also limit the transferring microorganisms.
